Have you checked the FAQ entry here?

If you always get this error, you most likely have a typo in the email account configuration or you are trying to connect to an unsupported email account type i.e. not a POP or IMAP account or the account requires SSL.

connection reset by peer/ E:10054, tried all i no can not get it to get mail gives time ok, using version 3.0.6.6

Hi John,

GearVox will require an update in order to work properly on Vista. I don't have a date yet but I will post in the announcements section of the GearVox forum when a test copy is ready.

Hello,

Gmail does require SSL. For GearVox to work with Gmail, you need the latest Beta of GearVox. This is untested software. You are welcome to help test it. If you do test the Beta version, please let me know how it works for you.

The link for the Beta is below, you can install it over your current version or in a new directory. Your choice. You can always go back to version 3 if you run into trouble, the settings and account information should be backward compatible.
